Update – 05/04/2017

Hey guys

I have been a little quiet on here the past couple of days, so I thought I would give you an update. There’s no point in lying or dancing around it, otherwise what is the point in this blog, right?

So, I was 100% on plan all week since my weigh in last Wednesday, I even managed to struggle through a really tough weekend without cheating at all! But then by Monday evening I just felt so low, I was feeling really weak and tired and looking back now I don’t think my calorie intake was as high as it should have been considering my exercise over the weekend and my long days at work during the week. So I have been off plan since Monday night. I haven’t been over-indulging on chocolate or takeaways, I have been having porridge, yoghurt, fruit, salad and my mums homecooked vegetable stew.

I have been feeling so guilty and really upset that I have ‘failed’ on my diet. Every time I am faced with a decision of what to put in my mouth I am riddled with fear that I am going to put back on the 40 pounds that I have worked so hard to loose. When I first set out to loose weight, I knew it would be difficult, but I don’t think I realised how emotionally difficult the whole process would be. I thought that just getting the weight to come off would be the difficult bit, I didn’t realise I would have to deal with a paralysing fear of weight gain on a daily basis.

But just having a couple of days off plan and being a little more relaxed with my diet has really given me some perspective. Although these foods I have eaten were not on my diet plan, that doesn’t mean that they are evil and are going to make me gain weight. We are only human and there are always going to be slip-ups. There will be days when I overindulge, but that is okay. That doesn’t make me a cheater or a failure. As long as I look after my body and don’t fill it with junk it will look after me. I need to let myself breathe and practice a little bit of self-love, I am stronger and more in control than I think.

So I have decided that I am not going to be on a 100% meal replacement diet plan anymore. I am going to incorporate healthy meals and exercise (cardio and strength training) and try and turn away from a strict diet and towards a new healthier lifestyle, so that I can build a better emotional relationship with food, and set myself up for a healthy, happy life. I am still going to weigh in every Wednesday (including today) and I am really looking forward to tracking my progress and daily food diary logs on this blog.

Thanks for all of the support I have received on Instagram, the weight loss community over there are amazing!

Diary – 02/04/2017

Breakfast
9.00am – Cappuccino CWP shake
I made this mornings shake with a shot of coffee and crushed ice! ☕️❄️

Lunch
1.00pm – Toffee chewy CWP bar
I broke my bar up into cubes today as it really helped me slow down when I tried it with my mint crunch bar yesterday. I had a gulp of water inbetween each cube too! 👌🏻

Dinner
6.30pm – Chocolate mint CWP shake

It’s been quite sunny and summery today, so it was nice to have an ice cold shake rather than my usual shake or meal 🍫🌿

Breakfast

8.30am – Chocolate CWP shake

I added tons of ice to my shake this morning so it was extra thick and slushy ❤

Lunch

1.00pm – Chocolate mint crunch CWP bar

I broke my bar into little chunks this afternoon so that I would take a little more time to eat it. I always find it a little harder to stay on plan over the weekend 🍫

Dinner

6.30pm – CWP macaroni cheese

I had this delicious mac and cheese for dinner this evening. It was so lovely and cheesy, the perfect Saturday night treat 🧀

Breakfast

6.45am – Chocolate Velvet CWP tetra carton

I left the house for work in a bit of a rush this morning (I overslept!) but thankfully I had one of these bad boys in the fridge so I could just grab it and go! 😂

Lunch

12.00pm – Strawberry and apple yoghurt CWP bar

I was honestly really unsure about trying this new bar for the first time, as I am not a fan of the yoghurt-coated lemon bar. But this was actually really sweet and delicious, it made a really nice change for me as I mostly stick to the chocolate flavour bars and shakes 👌🏻

Dinner

6.30pm – Chocolate mint CWP shake

I usually make a bit more of an effort to take a good picture of my shakes, but I couldn’t wait to drink it any longer tonight! Been feeling pretty hungry all day today 🍫

Breakfast

8.30 – Chocolate mint crunch CWP bar

Can never go wrong with chocolate for breakfast! This bar tastes just like mint matchmakers 🍫👌🏻

Lunch

1.30pm – Tomato and basil CWP soup

Favourite soup for lunch today, yum yum 🍅⭐️

Dinner

6.00pm – CWP spaghetti bolognese

I really felt like I wanted some real food tonight as opposed to the ususal liquid shakes/soups, and this was perfect! I added some garlic and oregano to the powder and then just pour in hot water and stir! The pack recommends to microwave for a minute or two, but I just covered and left the bowl for 5 minutes and it was perfect! ❤

Diary – 29/03/2017

Today was also my Cambridge weight plan week 2 weigh-in, which saw me loose 3 pounds this week. Knowing that I was going to be weighed this evening really helped me avoid any temptation and stick to plan throughout the day.

So here is how today went:

Breakfast

7.30am – Chocolate chewy CWP bar

I woke up a little late this morning so just grabbed a bar to chew on on the way to work! One of the positives of being on the CWP is that it requires zero shopping or food preparation if you don’t want it to, perfect for disorganised folks like me! It is the true fast-food, as it is much quicker to eat one of these bars or shake up a shake than order and eat ‘fast-food’ 🕖🍫

Lunch

1.00pm – Tomato and basil CWP soup

I love these soups, they are my absolute staple work lunch! Just add hot water and stir 🍅🍵

Dinner

6.30pm – Chocolate mint CWP shake

My favourite product, the perfect way to end a full day on plan 💖

CWP Week 2 – 29/03/2017

⭐️ ⭐️⭐️I lost 3lbs ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Total loss: 40lbs (2 stone 12lbs)

New current weight: 196lbs (14 stone)

I am now only 2 pounds away from a total of 3 stones lost, I am really hoping I can have a solid week 3 and achieve this by my next weigh in! Nothing like a good loss to get you motivated to keep going 💖
